His mother, Bonny L., is a retired high school teacher, and the Executive Director of Minot’s Downtown Business & Profession Association, and his father, Larry Duhamel, is an advertisement salesman. Josh has three younger sisters: Ashlee, McKenzee and Kassidy. His ancestry is German, and smaller amounts of Norwegian, French-Canadian, English, Irish, and Austrian (his last name is very common among Francophones in the world). Before his acting career, the football player studied biology and earned his Bachelor’s degree at Minot State University with the intention of pursuing dentistry.

When Josh was 26 years old, he worked in the construction business, and it was by chance that he got into the entertainment business. Modeling eventually gave way to acting as Josh was asked to audition for the title character in The Picture of Dorian Gray (2005), from the novel by Oscar Wilde.

Duhamel can be seen in Vince Gilligan and David Shore’s CBS series, “Battle Creek.” He is in production on four films: “Lost In The Sun,” “Bravetown,” “The Wrong Stuff,” and “Beyond Deceit.”

Duhamel also starred alongside Hillary Swank and Emmy Rossum in the George C. Wolfe directed drama, “You’re Not You.” Duhamel also starred opposite Julianne Hough in Lasse Hallstrom’s “Safe Haven,” a drama based on the best-selling novel by Nicholas Sparks and the thriller “Scenic Route,” which tells the story of two friends stranded in the desert. In addition, Duhamel was seen in the star-studded, ensemble comedy “Movie 43” alongside Emma Stone, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Kate Winslet, Richard Gere among many others. Co-directed by Peter Farrelly and Patrik Forsberg, the film features various intertwining, raunchy tales.

His integral role as ‘Chris Mannix,’ a southern renegade who claims to be the new sheriff of Red Rock in Tarantino’s THE HATEFUL EIGHT, marks his second collaboration with the Academy Award-winning writer/director. He previously played slave fight trainer ‘Billy Crash’ in Tarantino’s 2012 DJANGO UNCHAINED. That same year, Goggins also appeared in Steven Spielberg’s LINCOLN, where he portrayed Congressman ‘Wells A. Hutchins.’

Goggins has wrapped principal photography on the feature “The Three Christs of Ypsilanti,” in which he plays the role of ‘Christ.’ The story follows a doctor (Richard Gere) who is treating paranoid schizophrenic patients at the Ypsilanti State Hospital in Michigan, each of whom believe they are Jesus Christ. Jon Avnet directed from a script he wrote with Eric Nazarian, adapted from the biographical novel by Milton Rokeach.

He has completed production on a starring role in HISTORY’s upcoming “Six,” an 8-episode contemporary military action drama from A+E Studios and The Weinstein Company. Inspired by current events, the project is about an elite team of Navy SEALs whose 2014 mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working with the terrorists. Goggins will play ‘Rip Taggart,’ the one-time leader of the SEAL team SIX squad who now patrols an African village to protect its residents from Boko Haram.

Donald Sutherland https://kasawi.com/actor/donald-sutherland/ https://kasawi.com/actor/donald-sutherland/#respond Mon, 05 Mar 2018 07:29:20 +0000 http://192.168.1.99/WordpressDevelop/videoplus-config/?post_type=vid_actor&p=2405 The towering presence of Canadian actor Donald Sutherland is often noticed, as are his legendary contributions to cinema. He has appeared in almost 200 different shows and films. He is also the father of renowned actor Kiefer Sutherland, among others.

Donald McNichol Sutherland was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, to Dorothy Isobel (McNichol) and Frederick McLea Sutherland, who worked in sales and electricity. He has Scottish, as well as German and English, ancestry. Sutherland worked several different jobs – he was a radio DJ in his youth – and was almost set on becoming an engineer after graduating from the University of Toronto with a degree in engineering. However, he also graduated with a degree in drama, and he chose to abandon becoming an engineer in favour of an actor.

Sutherland’s first roles were bit parts and consisted of such films as the horror film Dr. Terror’s House of Horrors (1965) which starred Christopher Lee. He was also appearing in episodes of TV shows such as “The Saint” and “Court Martial”. Sutherland’s break would come soon, though, and it would come in the form of a war film in which he was barely cast.

The reason he was barely cast was because he had been a last-minute replacement for an actor that had dropped out of the film. The role he played was that of the dopey but loyal Vernon Pinkley in the war film The Dirty Dozen (1967). The film also starred Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, and Telly Savalas. The picture was an instant success as an action/war film, and Sutherland played upon this success by taking another role in a war film: this was, however, a comedy called MASH (1970) which landed Sutherland the starring role alongside Elliott Gould and Tom Skerritt. This is now considered a classic among film goers, and the 35-year old actor was only getting warmed up.
